Monsters in Rookgaard

The following list shows all the different monster types present  in Rookgaard from the weakest to the strongest.

Note: It is only possible for a monster to do its maximum damage when you wear no armor and attacked by more than two monsters at the same time. Otherwise, their attack is reduced by your shielding and armor.

Name

Image Exp. HP Attack Loot Skills Tips
Rabbit 0 15 - 0-2 Carrots, 0-2 Meat 10/10 Very friendly, peacefull and quick small animals. You dont get any exp, but you can collect food...if you can catch him :).
Sheep 0 20 - 0-4 Meat 10/10 This animal is extremely weak and easily killed. They will not attack and they give no experience but are a source of food. They tend to live in flocks on farms or close to the cities, so if you see one, look for more appearing on your screen.
Deer 0 25 - 0-4 Meat, 0-2 Ham 10/10 This animal is weak and easily killed. They will not attack you and they give no experience but are a good source of food. They will quickly run away from attacks so be prepared for a chase or be equipped with distance weapons.
Rat 5 20 Close combat (0-10 damage) 0-4 Gold, 0-1 Cheese 10/10 This is the easiest to kill of the animals that give experience. It is the first monster you will encounter on Rookgaard. Individually they are easy to kill with almost any skills and equipment. However, if you are attacked by several you will be surrounded and killed unless you have the proper equipment Rats give  very good loot for the novice player. You can push rats to a more advantages position or to make an escape route if necessary.
Snake 10 15 Close combat (0-5 damage), Poison (1 HP/sec x 18) - 10/10 The Snake is a weak monster. However, most of the time they will poison you during the attack. If you become poisoned you will lose a few hitpoints every second. It stops after about 15 hp. You can push snakes.
Spider 12 20 Close combat (0-5 damage) 0-10 Gold 10/10 Spiders nearly always live in a group, so beware! When you find one, there will probably be more nearby. A good tactic is to stand in a narrow passage so that the spiders can only attack one or two at a time. You can push spiders.
Cave Rat 10 30 Close combat (0-10 damage) 0-4 Gold, 0-1 Cheese, Jacket 12/12 Cave rats are bigger, stronger and harder then normal rats. So beware if you fight against them as new Player, especially if you meet a group. A good tactic is to stand in a narrow passage so that the cave rats can only attack one or two at a time. You can push cave rats.
Bug 18 29 Close combat (0-15 damage) 0-10 Gold, 0-3 Cherry 12/12 The Bug is a weak monster. The only strength it has is the fact that it is nearly always found in a group. Also, unlike the earlier animals this one continues to attack even when badly wounded. You cannot push bugs.
Wolf 18 25 Close combat (0-20 damage) 0-4 Meat 12/12 This animal is always found in a pack and is quite quick. They are also occasionally found with other creatures. Although they are fairly easy to kill individually the player must beware of being surrounded and trapped by a pack of wolves. You can push wolves.
Troll 20 50 Close combat (0-15 damage) 0-10 Gold, 0-1 Meat, Bag, Spear, Hand Axe, Leather Boots, Leather Helmet, Wooden Shield, Rope, Silver Amulet (rare) 14/14 Trolls are one of the most favorite monsters in Tibia. They have good loot including items and money. They have a good defense but somewhat weak attack. It will be difficult for you to kill a troll at a low skill level. However, since they have a weak attack you can withstand them quite easily. Try to attack one at a time. If you were surrounded by many, try to find a narrow passage so you can kill them one by one, or attack them while running around. You can push trolls.
Poison Spider 22 26 Close combat (0-20 damage), Poison (1 HP/sec x 20)
Immunities: Poison
0-4 Gold 14/14 Cause of death for many new players. This animal is slightly more powerful than a normal Spider. Like a Snake it will poison the poorly equipped player.
They are normally found in large groups and will try to surround the player. You can push these.
Bear 23 80 Close combat (0-25 damage) 0-4 Meat, 0-2 Ham 14/14 Bears have a very strong bite. Do not attack them unless you have good armor and a good weapon. Bear packs are very dangerous and can kill a weakly equipped player in a matter of seconds. Since they are slow, you can easily escape them and also you can attack one at a time by running around, but you cannot push them.
Wasp 24 35 Close combat (0-25 damage), Poison (1 HP/sec x 20) - 14/14 This animal is very fast and can usually be found in a group. It is nearly impossible to run away from them when they start after you. Be careful not to get trapped by several Wasps at the same time.
Orc 25 70 Close combat (0-35 damage) 0-8 Gold, 0-1 Meat, Bag, Sabre, Axe, Studded Armor, Studded Helmet, Studded Shield 15/15 Orcs are one of the oldest races of Tibia. They are stronger, faster and more intelligent than Trolls are. Do not attack an Orc unless you can easily kill a Troll. However, they are not usually found alone and the player must beware being surrounded.
Skeleton 35 50 Close combat (0-25 damage, Life Drain with 0-15 damage)
Immunities: Poison
0-10 Gold, Bag, Sword, Hatchet, Mace, Brass Shield, Viking Helmet, 0-2 Torches 15/15 Skeletons are the first special type of monster you will encounter. They drain your life, so even if you wear the strongest armor, you will lose HP from there attacks. They give good loot for the Rookgaard player.
Goblin 25 50 Ranged combat (Small stones with 0-35 damage) 0-9 Gold, 0-1 Fish, Moldy Cheese, Bag, Short Sword, Small Axe, 0-2 Small Stones, Dagger, Leather Armor, Leather Helmet, Bone 16/16 Goblins are the easiest monster you will encounter with ranged attack. They throw small stones at you and can be deadly in groups. Wear good armor when attacking these. If you were surrounded by many, set monster follow off and then attack because you may get killed easily by the others when trying to follow the wounded goblin. If you are running low on HP, run!!
Minotaur 50 100 Close combat  (0-45 damage) 0-28 Gold, 0-1 Meat, Bag, Sword, Mace, Axe, Chain Armor, Chain Helmet, Brass Helmet, Leather Legs, Plate Shield, Shovel, Bronze Amulet (rare) 20/20 Minotaurs have very good defense and armor. Minotaurs contain the best loot for a monster at this level. Frequency of loot drops is very high for Minotaurs. It  doesn't run away until dead. You may use spears to attack them.
Orc Spearman 38 105 Ranged combat (Spears with 0-50 damage) 0-8 Gold, 0-2 Meat, Bag, Spear, Machete, Studded Legs 20/20 A dangerous foe to the novice player. They attack using spears with a very slow rate. They will try to hide from you when attacked. Their spears can go through your shield as any other ranged attack. If you have fairly low skills and if you feel you are getting badly hurt, run before it is too late because they will attack you from a distance. Try to avoid fighting multiple at a time.
Rotworm 40 65 Close combat (0-55 damage) 0-22 Gold, 0-2 Ham, 0-2 Meat, Bag, Mace, Sword, Legion Helmet, Copper Shield, Katana (semi) 25/25 Rotworms are the most difficult monster in Rookgaard.
