Paladins

Advantages:
With every new level, a Paladin receives an additional 10 hit points, 15 mana points and 20 oz. of capacity.
HP regenerates every 8 seconds (6 seconds if promoted) and MP regenerates every 8 seconds (6 seconds if promoted).
Advances faster than any other vocation in distance weapon skill. (Paladins advances faster in distance skill than Knights do in melee skills)
Advances fast in shielding skills (if used spears and a shield to train) at the same rate as Knights and faster than Mages.
Advances at a reasonable speed in magic levels and can make useful runes like HMM.
Ammunition cost for arrows and bolts are lower than the rune cost for Mages.
Can use most of the important magic spells (such as Ultimate Healing, Invisibility, Mana Shield) and runes (UH, HMM, GFB, Explosion, SD and Convince Creature).
Can advance in melee weapon skills at a reasonable speed (better than Mages).
Can kill stronger monsters (Cyclopes, GS) at very low levels.
A high level Paladin can advance faster in levels than Knights.
A high level Paladin can block monsters better than a Knight since they have access to the Mana Shield and also can quickly cast "exura vita" spell to heal.
Since they can run and shoot, receive less damage from monsters than Knights.
Disadvantages:
Difficult to train than a Knight since there is only one training weapon (Spears) available and Paladins always have to collect the spears while training. Also, since spears do heavy damage at decent distance levels, the training monsters die quickly.
Since bows/crossbows are defenseless two handed weapons, a Paladin can receive heavy damage from Monsters when trapped and thus may die quickly.
Must run around and shoot at Monsters. Therefore, it is difficult for a Paladin to fight in small rooms. This also prevents fast leveling at lower levels.
Cannot hold a torch while using bows.
Cannot hunt continuously. Must make frequent visits to the town to collect more arrows/bolts.
Ammunition cost can be very high for a low and medium level Paladin.
